Founded in May 2021, Active Inclusion Network is a trailblazing organization committed to promoting diversity, inclusivity, and accessibility in outdoor fitness and adventure. Our mission is to empower underrepresented communities, particularly South Asian and Muslim groups, to engage with and thrive in the great outdoors. We believe that everyone should have equal opportunities to enjoy the benefits of physical activity, nature, and adventure.
Under the Active Inclusion Network umbrella, we’ve launched several impactful projects, including Muslim Hikers, Muslim Runners, and Muslim Cyclists. These initiatives have rapidly grown into vibrant communities, fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and confidence among their members.
Our founder, Haroon Mota, is a renowned marathon runner and mountaineer who has raised millions for charity through his daring challenges. His vision for diversity and inclusion in outdoor fitness led to the creation of Active Inclusion Network and its associated projects.
Join us in our mission to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and make the great outdoors accessible and enjoyable for all.
